Pierce Family Foundation Friends & Family,
Let’s see, where to begin? I have been a part of the Pierce Family Foundation (PFF) since 2006. My sister Eileen, sister-in-law Patty and myself wanted to join in the fun but we didn’t golf. We knew we could raise more money, get more people involved, and contribute to the fight against cancer. We collected donations, crafted baskets for raffles, and raised $1500.00. Just like that we were hooked!
I have had the privilege of working with so many generous family members, friends, sponsors, and donors. I have built relationships with business owners and all the wonderfully talented people involved with Camp One Step. My honor has been meeting and talking with the children and their families that attend the diferent camps.
“Anyone who does anything to help a child is a hero to me.”
— Fred Rogers
Now that is a quote, I believe with my whole being and my whole heart. It is what I have and will continue to strive for in life, helping children and supporting families. The Foundation’s accomplishments this year will directly benefit children with a pediatric cancer diagnosis, give them the opportunities to attend camp and build trusting relationships with other children who share similar memories. The monies donated also support the families; bringing them joy and peace of mind knowing their child is experiencing the fun that comes from Camp.
This month I would like to thank all the members of the committees who have volunteered their time and talents to assure our events for 2022 are welcoming and safe for all our attendees. This year’s success is crucial to continue our mission making positive differences in the quality of life of cancer survivors, research and development of cures, and to elevate cancer awareness throughout the community.
Thank you,
Peggy
