Welcome

Hello! My name is Daniel P. Kuczero, and I formally joined the Pierce Family Foundation board in 2018. After accepting an invitation from Peggy Pierce to attend a site visit to a COSI (Children’s Oncology Services Inc.) summer camp in Lake Geneva, I was inspired to get involved with the foundation. I am presently serving on the Pierce Family Foundation board as the Secretary. In addition to those current responsibilities, I have had a strong interest in creating permanency to the foundation’s efforts. As an independent financial planner and investment fiduciary, I lead the effort to implement an investment policy statement and establish a permanent endowment fund for the foundation. Since its establishment in 2020, each year a portion of funds raised is added to the investment account in the hopes that one day, it will become self-sustaining so that it can be used to pay for several campers’ costs for camps through COSI annually.

I am married to Maria, and we recently moved out to Putnam, IL. We have two adult children, and two beautiful grandchildren whom we absolutely adore and are thankful to spend time with. I am originally from New Lenox and have spent most of my adult life in the Chicago suburbs. I enjoy cooking, travelling, the outdoors, and “building things.” I have been a financial advisor for the last 17 years and enjoy working with clients around the Chicago area as well as the country. I have always felt that service to others is an important part of life and being able to help the Pierce Foundation provide financial assistance to families dealing with a devastating cancer diagnosis has been an honor for me.
