Pierce Family Foundation Friends & Family,

Bruce Good joined the executive board of the Pierce Foundation in 2024, bringing a wide range of experience and a deep-seated passion for philanthropy. Bruce has owned and operated various businesses throughout his career, with his most recent venture being The Oriental Carpet in Menlo Park, CA. Each year, he organized a fundraiser at the rug store, selling handmade goods created by women from some of the most challenging regions in the world. The proceeds directly supported these women, showcasing Bruce’s commitment to global empowerment and social entrepreneurship.

Bruce's involvement with the Pierce Foundation began while he was still managing his business. Determined to make a difference, he started by raising funds for the foundation, leveraging his extensive network. His dedication quickly grew, and he began volunteering at various events. His enthusiasm and commitment were recognized this year when he was given the opportunity to serve as the auctioneer at the prestigious Green & Gold Gala.

A devoted family man, Bruce is a father of five and grandfather of eight. His family is the cornerstone of his life, and his drive to help others is deeply rooted in his personal values. Long-time family friend Peg Pierce inspired Bruce with her dedication to the foundation’s mission. After learning more about the foundation’s work, Bruce felt compelled to support it in any way he could.

Bruce grew up in Chicago but ventured to California at the young age of 18. After many years in the San Francisco Bay Area, Bruce traded in his dress shoes for cowboy boots as he and his wife Cynthia recently retired to a working ranch and winery in Arroyo Grande, CA. Although, some would say him and his wife are busier than ever! Bruce’s lifelong desire to help others, especially children, aligns perfectly with the mission of the Pierce Foundation, allowing him to make a meaningful impact on the lives of children with cancer.

As an executive board member, Bruce aims to leverage his business expertise and philanthropic spirit to further the foundation's mission, ensuring that every child with cancer has the opportunity to experience the joy and freedom of summer camp.
